If Noldor's shell dies out, I want to do this.

People that have access we can do sea Fri say an hour earlier than we usually start sky. That let's people who have lives outside of FFXI (shame on you) still go out. It also helps for people who have to get up early for w/e reason.

Again this is only if HollaDieWaldFee quits making sea runs. Otherwise if you have access come join us (Let me OK that with Falon/Noldor first) as I think we could use some dedicated people to help make this work better. Fridays 6PM EST

EDIT: For the time being post here if you are interested either way (joining existing shell, joining a new venture, or both) and that way I have names to take to them to see if they want extra members. I'll also have a list populated if I end up starting sea w/ SOI.

I'd love to do sea, here's the itch, I could go with an existing shell, it isn't Noldor's shell but they require you attend sky and sea, and we all know how I roll when it comes to sky, so that's out.

I could go with you guys put myself in the bottom of the list and work work work like the usual way, or I could help with sea runs with SoI and have a better standing but risk the possibility of not even being successful and blowing all my time and would be points on nothing.

Well as we have decent people lvl mage jobs, I don't forsee anything being out of the question other than maybe JOL for a bit. Really all the other pop mobs and Jailers are handled low man as long as a few key positions are filled.

Mirodin I'm sure would not want to do it as a "if you do one you have to do both" kind of thing and I know quite a few people who won't come to sky (just like you) but would be interested in doing sea and don't have the option of the very few other shells that do it. In other words sea would be it's own entity just using the SOI shell (or I could even create a sub-shell to help differentiate it).

I don't want to take existing members away from Noldor or Falon though and Rendra seems to be established there, also I enjoy them, and think they are good players, so I wouldn't want to ninja out of the shell either. If they start to talk like the push for sea isn't there I will ask them to come with us and start this venture though.

If it does look like it's going to happen though I'm almost certain I could get enough good people interested just from my Flist to make a good hack at sea mobs.

My only problem with sea is that it bores me to death. It would be nice to do it a bit later than noldor goes, lets say 7PM EST/6PM CST/4PM PST. Also I will not make people go to both events because I am going to create a new lotting system for sea, I really do not like the current one we have for sky. Thats all I have to say.

I really am taking a liking to the hybrid points/tier system like our Einherjar does.

EX: Daemun Mirodin Clouse DT and Saba

Attendance over 30 runs:

Daemun: 30
Mirodin: 28
Clouse: 5
DT: 20
Saba: 15

For the sake of simplification lets say we are all on our first piece to lot, and we are the only ones wanting the piece.

Item: Prudence Torque

Lotting Tiers:
T1: Daemun, Mirodin
T2: DT, Saba
T3: Clouse

When you win something (lets say Mirodin wins first drop)
you forfeit 10 pts. and can then move to another item to lot. This way people with stellar attendance are rewarded for it by bouncing to the next item and still being fairly high up on tier.

After lot...
Item: Prudence Torque
T1: Daemun
T2: DT, Saba
T3: Clouse

Mirodin 18 points and can move to another piece of gear.

Rots will still rot if no one wants to be on the list for them. It may be possible to get a drop, and move to T1 of another item immediately after depending on your points vs. points of others lotting the new item.

The way tiers work are if you are within 5 points of the highest member in that tier, you make it in that tier. EX: 28 and 23 are T1, 28 and 22 are T1>T2 This also allows you to "catch up" to people who had more attendance but slack if you keep coming.

What do you all think of this system?

I was thinking of gather 8:30 PM EST start time 9:00 PM EST that equates to 7:30 CST/ 5:30 PST and 8:00/6:00...fuck MDT

Sea can be boring but there are quite a few pieces from sky that are the best thing in their slot in the game in many situations. I can't help your boredom unless we have "all mage melee" night or something ; ) TBO though sky can be quite a drag when you spend 4hrs 2x a week farming Dio only to get no drops, so it's the same poison just different flavor.

I also wasn't planning on you making it a "if you come to one, you have to come to both" type thing as sky is already running well as its own entity.

It seems like the basic lotting system I was probably going to adapt. We will see what happens in the coming weeks with Noldor's shell and then we will act upon it.

Falon/Nolder seemed very open to moving their entrance time back a couple of hours so sounds like we could do this w/out screwing over their attempts at sea.

ATM it is 5 PM CST enter I'll see if maybe we can work a 7 PM CST gather and 7:30 start time.

All of you are invited already Falon instantly invited you when I said I had people who want sea but the time is a constraint.

If you happen to read this you are even welcome to come up late tonight and if we get enough people we will burn a few pops as they are sitting on some.

Don't know if anyone bothered to read, but as it currently stands we are going to try to just add people to Noldor and Falon's current shell.

They have agreed to push the enter time back (hopefully 7PM CST gather I'll talk to them today) and again anyone interested is invited. I'm going to try to get sacked today during sky and pass out pearls to people who will come.

If there are any problems with those two people please let me know and if there is a huge amount of conflict we will work on our own sea setup.

For now though, I know they know what they're doing in sea, and they are good players so I want to bring some QG people and friends to HDWF to see how things go.

Again since there are only about 8-10 of us active currently in HDWF, the list for items is ridiculously short so you should all come.
